Introduction to the
Siopor® fabric family
The Siopor® technology
At the heart of every Siopor® fabric lies its advanced multilayer system. A water-repellent polyester outer layer is combined with a hydrophilic polyurethane (PU) coating on the inside. This construction ensures lasting rain protection while allowing the fabric to “breathe”.
The breathability is achieved in two ways:
A microporous basecoat with millions of microscopic channels that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, yet large enough for moisture vapour molecules to escape.
An additional hydrophilic PU layer that actively transports moisture vapour to the outside of the garment, driven by the difference in temperature and humidity between the inside and the outside.
The result is a fabric that is windproof, waterproof and breathable, keeping the wearer dry and comfortable even during heavy activity. The outer polyester fabric also receives a durable water- and dirt/oil-repellent finish, helping it resist soaking and stay cleaner for longer. To ensure complete protection, all Siopor® garment seams are sealed with advanced tape technology.

The Siopor® fabric groups
The Siopor® fabric family consists of several groups, each tailored to different needs and levels of protection. From basic weatherproofing to advanced multi-risk resistance, there is a Siopor® solution for every type of job:
The Siopor® modifiers
Within the Siopor® family, ECO and FLEX modifiers help you further fine-tune performance. ECO represents the use of sustainable, environmentally conscious materials, while FLEX means extra stretch and freedom of movement.
For example:
Siopor® Excell Eco Flex offers full rain protection in a 3-layer, inherently flame-retardant fabric, enriched with sustainable materials and added stretch. It is the solution for high-risk environments where weatherproofing, safety and comfort must go hand in hand.
Siopor® Ultra Eco provides reliable rain protection with an all-purpose, cotton-touch fabric that is both breathable and sustainable - ensuring comfort and ecology for long days in wet conditions.
Siopor® FR-AST
The reliable 2-layer treated flame-retardant and antistatic solution.
This treated flame-retardant and anti-static 2-layer fabric offers reliable weather protection with added safety against ignition and static discharge.
