OEKO-TEX® Standard 100

Oeko-tex® x Sioen PRO

At Sioen Pro, your health and safety are our top priorities. That’s why Oeko-Tex® is so important in the world of textiles: it’s a trusted standard that ensures fabrics and components are free of harmful substances — from threads, linings, buttons, to zippers. When you wear Sioen Pro clothing, you wear protection you can trust.

What is the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Label?

The OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 label is a globally recognised certification. When a textile article carries this label, every part — not just the main fabric — has been tested for regulated and non-regulated substances. If all components pass, the product is certified as safe for human health.

Key Features of the OEKO-TEX® Safety Standard:

  • Independent assessment by neutral laboratories.

  • Tests for both regulated and non-regulated harmful substances, exceeding many legal requirements.

  • Strict, globally standardised criteria, updated regularly with the latest scientific research.

  • Full transparency: you can verify the OEKO-TEX® label for any certified product via its label number on the OEKO-TEX® website.

Independent Verification

OEKO-TEX® does not certify brands directly; rather, independent institutes (approved by OEKO-TEX®) conduct the testing. They audit and test every aspect of certified products to guarantee safety.

Centexbel is an independent Belgian testing institute that is approved and authorised by OEKO-TEX® to provide tests, audits and other services in connection with OEKO-TEX® products. They are in charge of all tests with regards to the compliance of Sioen PRO and Sioen garments with the requirements set by the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.
